O2ctopus® is a floating, surface-maintainable aeration system. The system offers all the advantages of fine or coarse bubble diffusion and is constructed from high-strength stainless steel. Each O2ctopus® system is specially designed for easy maintenance, heat retention in cold months, and reduced electrical consumption.
The units do not require any electrical connections to be made in or over the water — they are fed air via robust hose and stainless fittings by an on-shore blower. Once the air is delivered to each unit, the custom manufactured legs are designed to reach the lowest point in the aeration vessel and maximise bubble contact and subsequent oxygen transfer efficiency. Tubular diffusers are used on the bottom of each leg to disperse the air into microfine bubbles that allow dissolved oxygen to be readily consumed in the aerobic treatment process.
Each O2ctopus is secured with stainless cable and clamps to keep it in place, whilst allowing easy disconnection if servicing is required. The system’s diffusers are easily maintained. Simply use the quick connect cam-lock fitting to disconnect the air supply and plug the hose. The whole O2ctopus unit can be lifted from the treatment vessel for service without affecting operation of remaining units.

A TOOL FOR WATER TREATMENT
The water in reservoirs and deep lakes naturally forms thermal layers. The result can be increased metals and nutrients concentrations, blooms of blue green algae and aged water. As a result, the water has to be subjected to expensive chemical treatment before it is safe to drink. |

POTABLE WATER RESERVOIRS
The WEARS ResMix systems are ideal for use in potable water reservoirs to eliminate short circuiting, maintain uniform conditions and reduce disinfection decay. Developed over 12 years of R&D, the system has the potential to save water treatment companies large amounts of their operating budget for treatment and has been installed across multiple facilities in several markets. |

The ResMix 5000 system (pictured above) comprises a large 5 metre diameter axial flow pump, moving water through an optional flexible draft tube from the surface through the thermocline to the hypolimnetic bottom layers of a reservoir. The Broad Flow Circulation created by the unit is sufficient to address water impoundments with volumes of 150,000 Ml or larger. |

Bio2Bloc was developed for aerobic wastewater retention tanks, basins or lagoons that can benefit from fixed-film treatment. The Bio2Bloc system has been in service since 1999 in municipal and industrial WWTPs. The system has performed successfully in removing BOD and ammonia where alternatives would have been too expensive or would have taken too long to implement.

GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL carries a wide selection of water related products from water supply to water reuse. Our years of experience offer you expert advice in how to perform the task at hand, but do so with minimal equipment at the lowest possible initial and ongoing cost. Contact us today to discuss your project. There is no cost to you, but there just might be a very large savings!
GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL has a total commitment to quality. We believe that our products should represent the finest in long-term value.
That is one of the reasons we place such a strong emphasis on equipment with sturdy construction and fewer moving parts. Our commitment to a low Total Life Cost is a key part of a commitment to quality.
Facultative biological processing offers a no-sludge option that requires virtually little ongoing operating cost. Wastewater treatment can literally be accomplished for pennies a day. GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL can provide process design for the most advanced methods of utilising facultative biological processing in modern, compact lagoon systems.
Let our team of experts perform an anlysis on your water treatment facility. Based on our many years of experience, we can point out potential cost savings that can include manpower, energy, maintenance, spares, sludge handling issues and overall operating costs. In many cases, simple upgrades can be paid for quickly in ongoing operating cost savings.
At GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL, you can use our experience to solve problems in water and wastewater treatment. Let us show you proven methods that can reduce costs and improve treatment.
What does it cost to treat a gallon or cubic meter of water? Whether it is sewage, industrial wastewater, freshwater or potable, someone has to pay for each gallon for the life of the facility.
Included in that per gallon cost are capital costs (including construction, procurement, equipment, etc.) and ongoing operating expenses. This includes any supplies required, energy, spares and replacements, plus manpower.
GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL offers what it considers the lowest total life cost treatment options on the market today. Our emphasis is reduction of all costs, but particularly the ongoing operating costs. With overeducating costs of operation, the Total Life Cost approach can save enough over the life of a facility to completely pay for the upgrade or initial construction.

At GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL, we believe in highly sustainable solutions that dramatically reduce ongoing operating costs over the life of the system.
Reductions in energy, maintenance, operator skills, lorry movements and replacements are all part of creating a more sustainable approach to water treatment with a low carbon footprint.

GURNEY ENVIRONMENTAL has intimate knowledge of facultative biological processing technology that offers total wastewater processing with zero-to-low energy including complete sludge digestion.
Systems can be 100% wind powered or a combination of low energy plus wind power.
